The language of private number plates pretty much follows the new language of texting on mobile phones. Numbers and letters can be interchangeable. Perhaps the best way to explain this is to look at some examples. K155 is recognised as Kiss while K8 can be for Kate, H1 is hi while K80 is used for Katey. 80X can be BOX ( used for porsche boxter ), while 80Y is taken to represent BOY. People are constantly thinking up new ones but some are a bit tenuous.
